Former NBA player Delonte West has made headlines after he was seen struggling with addiction and revealing that he suffers from mental illness.
In a recent interview, a YouTuber by the name of Shiakuro, West opened up about his struggles and stated that he is still dealing with some issues even with people attempting to help him out.
“You’re really Delonte West. I used to play 2K with you for so many years,” Shiakuro started the conversation. Then West went on to speak about Mark Cuban sending him to rehab to get the proper help he needs to treat his mental illness.
Although he has completed the program, he shared that he is losing his thoughts. “I’m just losing my thoughts, man. Sometimes I forget I even played basketball.” He added, “God knows what he’s doing… If any other thing would have happened differently, then me and you wouldn’t be sitting here talking.”
Delonte West is also suffering from the early stages of Multiple Sclerosis. We will continue to keep him in our thoughts and prayers.
