Dennis Rodman has decided to plan a trip to Russia to help Brittney Griner get released from prison.
We have reported that Griner has been locked up in a Russian prison for most of the year after she was caught with empty vape cartridges in her luggage. Griner has recently pleaded guilty in a Russian court and was sentenced to nine years in jail.
Many U.S. athletes have rallied behind getting the WNBA player back into the United States. Griner has taken accountability for her actions and has shown remorse. Since being sentenced, Russia and the United States have been in talks about doing a prisoner swap but nothing has been made official yet.
Rodman has revealed that he will be going to Russia to help. “I got permission to go to Russia to help that girl. I’m trying to go this week. I know Putin too well,” he said.
