Diddy Legally Changed His Name To ‘Love’

Sean “Diddy” Combs wants to be called “Love” now.

In 2017, the Ciroc CEO first announced he’s changing his name to Love, aka “Brother Love.” Last year, Diddy filed legal documents to make it official, and now it finally is.

Diddy showed off his new moniker on social media. The mogul shared a picture online of his new driver’s license. In the name section, he has “Sean Love Combs.” In another photo, Diddy showed off the evolution of his various names. In the caption, Diddy said, “Look what I just got in the mail today… IT’S OFFICIAL!!! WELCOME TO THE LOVE ERA.” Take a look:

It’s not exactly clear why Diddy changed his name. In 2020 when he filed legal documents, the “reason” listed on the papers says it’s because he wanted to change his middle name. His previous legal name was Sean Diddy Combs. Throughout the years, he’s gone by Puffy, Puff Daddy, or simply Diddy.
