As the federal government enters week two of a nationwide shutdown, Donald Trump is adamant that it won’t end until he gets his wall — and he’s using former President Barack Obama’s Washington D.C. home as ammunition to get what he wants.
To no surprise, Trump put his Twitter fingers to work yesterday afternoon (Dec. 30) to justify the need for the U.S./Mexican border wall. He stated that, “President and Mrs. Obama built/has a ten foot wall around their D.C. mansion/compound. I agree, totally necessary for their safety and security.”
He continued, “The U.S. needs the same thing, slightly larger version!”

Last January, TMZ reported the Obamas were building a brick wall around their D.C. rental home; thus, Trump thinks he deserves one too (around the country he so deeply loves). Unfortunately, his rationale makes no sense. But until he realizes the insanity of his thoughts, the U.S. government will continue to be shutdown until further notice.
