Drea Kelly, R. Kelly’s wife breaks her silence after he was found guilty of all nine counts of sex trafficking and racketeering on Monday, Sept. 27th.
During an interview with Good Morning Britain, Drea talked about the importance of supporting the victims of her ex’s crime.
“It’s important that women are supported to even feel like they have the strength to come forward and tell their stories. If they’re still victim shaming, victim-blaming, and women being afraid to speak their truth, we can never get a court system where justice can be served,” Drea said.
She also went on to speak about her marriage to the disgraced singer, stating that she was living “a life of constant fear… walking on eggshells… the intimidation, never knowing which version of him you’re going to get.”
Drea Kelly and R. Kelly have three children together and got divorced in 2009.
