Legendary Eddie Murphy made a shocking revelation.

The 30-year comedy vet admitted that some of his old material is hard for him to watch.

Ironically, the same movies that made him famous and jump-started his career and the same ones that are “cringeworthy” to him now. During an interview with The NY Times, he said his material from Raw and Deliriouswas “a bit much.”

“I was a young guy processing a broken heart, you know, kind of an a–hole,” he told the Times.

Much of Murphy’s content in the early ’90s was raw. In 1996, he apologized for his “offensive content” after gay activists wanted to have his late-night television appearance on “The David Letterman Show” canceled.

Murphy’s next project is Dolemite Is My Name, which hits theaters October 4th. Will you be tuned in?
