During the 61st Grammy Awards, Yolanda Adams, Fantasia and Andra Day teamed up to honor the late Queen of Soul.  Having the performance saved for the last spot was key since it would have come after the memoriam of the legends that have past away within the last year. There was a powerful rendition of “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” which had the crowd in awe.

The three women stood side by side as they each took verses.  Each of the women put their own unique soulful and powerful twist on what is the soul standard. It ended on a brilliant high as the three singers in a collaborative effort harmonized “woman.”

The song was a billboard hit for Franklin as it made it to Number 8 on the Billboard Top 100 and became one of her signature songs.

She won her first two Grammys in 1967 for “Respect.” In 1991, she received the Recording Academy’s Grammy Legend Award. She also has five recordings in the Grammy Hall of Fame, including “Respect,” “Chain of Fools,” “Amazing Grace,” “A Natural Woman (You Make Me Feel Like),” and “I Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You.”

Franklin sadly died after a battle with pancreatic cancer last August at the age of 76.
