Google is paying tribute to the legendary Luther Vandross in a big way for what would have been his 70th birthday.
Yesterday April 19th, Google released its latest doodle: ‘an animated video honoring Vandross set to one of his iconic songs, “Never Too Much.”
Sam Bass, an Atlanta-based artist who collaborated with Google on the doodle released a statement:
“Luther Vandross brought happiness and joy into so many people’s lives through his music. His songs are iconic and internationally known. During a time with so many horrible things in the news, it’s great to get to do something like this.”
Luther dropped his first studio album, “Never Too Much.”
