The Group Fire sits with our very own Liz Black and opens up about their journey to stardom, including how they got their start, what it was like growing up in the church, and having two songs on the Billboard charts.
Named Billboard’s top five Gospel new artist of 2020, they got their start in Newark, New Jersey where they grew up listening to and becoming inspired by legends such as Kirk Franklin, The Clark Sisters, The Winans Family, Tye Tribett, Mary Mary, and many more. A small fact about them is that they are comprised of two sets of brothers.
Before leaving, they gave us a beautiful rendition of Kirk Franklin’s 1993 track “Til We Meet Again”
