Halle Berry has finalized her divorce from Oliver Martinez after eight years. The two finally came to an agreement on custody of their 9-year-old Maceo and child support.
According to TMZ, the two actors agreed to joint custody with Berry having Maceo Monday to Wednesday and Martinez having him Wednesday to Friday. The two will alternate weekends with Maceo.
The agreement has Berry paying $8,000 a month in child support, as well as covering health insurance, extracurricular activities, and schooling expenses. Berry is also set to pay an additional 4.3 percent of all income she receives above $2 million. The court documents also state Maceo will attend individual and family counseling.
The court document also adds the pair are not allowed to “speak in a negative, disrespectful, disparaging, or derogatory manner to, or about, the other Party or her/his family and/or significant other, or allow third parties to do same, to Maceo, in the presence of Maceo, or within Maceo’s hearing range.”
The couple split back in 2016 after 3 years of marriage but are now able to put an end to their legal battle after unresolved issues derailed the settlement.
