It’s been three years since Hamilton made its Broadway debut, and Lin-Manuel Miranda is still reaching new levels of success.

Shadow and Act reports “there is a massive bidding war” between studios eager to take the award-winning Broadway musical to the big screen.” While many may think this will include an on-screen adaptation of the life of one of America’s founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton, it will actually appear across theaters as a recorded version of the show.

Company’s looking to acquire the rights to produce the musical as a big screen production include Warner Bros., 21st Century Fox, and Netflix.
