New Orleans, Louisiana native, Lucky Daye, is the epitome of “New Sounds of R&B.”
Lucky Daye, born David Debrandon Brown, grew up in a Christian church, which in turn forbade him from listening to the exact kind of music that he makes. Listening to “popular” music was deemed a sin in the church he grew up in. Life came full circle for Daye, as almost two decades later- the same thing that was frowned upon is now widely known across the world by his fans.
The sultry, soulful singer is bringing a completely new sound to traditional R&B. Back in 2018, Lucky released his first project- titled I. The a five-song collection, includes singles such as “Roll Some Mo,” which spent 18 weeks in Billboards Adult R&B top ten.
