Legendary actress Holly Robinson Peete has received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Peete was recognized for her career which includes being a cast member of “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper” and “21 Jump Street” and for appearing in multiple films throughout her career.
In a recent interview, she spoke about her recent honor and said, “Being immortalized on Hollywood BLVD is so exciting. It’s a permanent tribute to a four-decades-plus career in TV. Legacy stuff!
She also went on her social media to express her gratitude with a series of posts.
Holly Robinson Peete got her start in 1979 starring alongside LeVar Burton in the made-for-television movie “Dummy.” The actress dedicated her star to her mother and manager, Dolores Robinson.
“She dreamed big for herself bringing her kids west from Philly in ‘74,” Peete said in her speech. “If it wasn’t for her boldness and courage to create a better life for us I would not be getting this star!”
She has starred in numerous television shows including “Chicago Fire”, “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit,” “For Your Love,” “Mike & Molly”, and so many more. She also starred in countless movies and was the first host of the CBS Daytime talk show “The Talk.”
