Issa Rae hinted at the possibility of a spin-off show.
As reported on The Jasmine Brand, Issa was asked if there’s a “chance” for an Insecure spin-off, and she replied, “there’s a chance for everything.” Issa spoke on other classic shows that came to an end and referenced The Fresh-Prince of Bel-Air. The show ended
after the sixth season, but she said she was “satisfied” when it ended. Issa said,
“There were good endings, and they left me satisfied, and you know, I wanted more of them, and I missed them, but I was just like, ‘Oh, I’m glad it went out like that.’”
In 2020, the publication asked the series’s showrunner and EP, Prentice Penny, about a spin-off. He said yes, but it would have to be executed correctly. Take a look at a clip:

Season 5 of HBO’s Insecure will be the final season, Issa Rae confirmed earlier this year. She said, “Very excited to film our fifth and final season! We couldn’t have told a complete story without the tremendous support of our audience and the faith of @HBO.” Variety reports filming for the final season is happening now will debut later this year.
