Issa Rae has landed a huge deal with Warner Bros. however it was never confirmed how much the deal was worth.
Reports have been circulating that the deal is worth $40 million for five years under her Hoorae media company. With this new deal, HBO, HBO Max, and Warner Bros. will have exclusive rights to all of her TV projects.
Rae spoke about landing the deal in a recent interview, “It’s really exciting to have that flexibility and just deepen the relationship that we already Shave.” She continued, “Hoorae already had at least 15 projects in various stages of development with them, so we’d been working with them on the drama side, the unscripted side, and the documentaries side for a couple of years now.”
Although she is happy about the deal, she would go on her Instagram story to put the rumors to bed about how much the deal is actually worth.
The post would say, “Uhh, I would never announce how much money I’m making anywhere. I mind mine. Any numbers you read are CAP.”
