Kandi Burruss seems to be ready for another Verzuz battle and this time against fellow girl group Destiny’s Child.
While on the recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Burruss spoke with Lil Jon about who would win in a mock battle. They went on to name possible battles such as Tina Turner vs. Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg vs. Diddy, Patti LaBelle vs. Diana Ross, Mary J. Blige vs. Faith Evans, Jay-Z vs. Kanye West, and more.
Within the conversation, Destiny’s Child vs. Xscape was mentioned to which Kandi would reply, “Oh really? We the OGs.” Lil Jon also chimed in and said Xscape.
Xscape participated in a Verzuz battle against SWV last year, where each group performed their hits, album cuts, and all-time fan favorites.
As of now, it seems that Destiny’s Child, made up of Beyoncé Knowles Carter, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, will not be participating in a Verzuz battle. The group disbanded in 2006 and performed together in 2013 during Beyoncé’s Superbowl Halftime show and again in 2018 during her Coachella set.
