Singer James Wright Chanel has decided to take legal action against Chrisean Rock after she allegedly attacked him in November.
The alleged attack happened after one of Tamar Braxton’s concerts and Wright was sent to the hospital. In his lawsuit, he detailed what actually took place. He stated that Rock became upset when she couldn’t perform one of her songs, although she was expecting to. James said that he commented stating that the “Vibe” artist was supposed to only perform in a dance at the end of the show. The comment would get her upset and led her to attack the backup singer.
Wright’s suit claims that he was hit multiple times. “She hit him multiple times in the face for no reason at all. We were surprised that she was able to leave the facility that night.” The suit also says, “She had on rings that were pretty much equivalent to brass knuckles.”
After the attack, Wright said that he was treated for cuts and bruises on his face as well as for two broken teeth. Wright also accused Chrisean of calling him a homophobic slur as she was being escorted off the premises.
Tamar Braxton, who was present during the altercation, confirmed that Chrisean Rock did assault James Wright Chanel, although Chrisean initially denied being involved in any physical altercation.
A few months later, video footage of Wright was released of him being treated for his injuries and his missing teeth. In the clip Braxton said, “At this point, it has gotten above and beyond out of control. Nobody is lying on nobody…nobody is trying to get on Zeus…his tooth is chipped. He didn’t chip it himself, [his] nose [is] busted.”
