Janet Hubert Calls Out Phylicia Rashad For Praising Bill Cosby’s Release

Emotions are everywhere now that Bill Cosby is a free man.

On the one hand, his fans are happy because the 83-year-old comedian won’t have to spend the rest of his life in jail. On the flip side, some feel wrong is wrong, and if he did the crime, he should do time.

When news broke of Cosby getting released yesterday (June 30), his former TV wife, Phylicia Rashad, was happy he was getting out. She wrote on Twitter, “FINALLY!!! A terrible wrong is being righted- a miscarriage of justice is corrected!”

Janet Hubert, who played the role of the original Vivian Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, didn’t like Rashad’s remarks at all. On Twitter, Hubert said,

“Phylicia, what are you thinking!!! I don’t know you, but to say this was terribly wrong. EVERYONE knew what he was doing back then. How could you NOT! Get your umbrella sista here comes the shit shower. I am outraged that he has been released. Yes, he is an old ass guilty man!” Take a look:

He was sentenced in 2018 to serve three – ten years for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home 14 years ago. He got released because the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania vacated his 2018 conviction on sexual assault charges and judgment of sentence, news sources report.
