Jaylon Ferguson, Baltimore Ravens Linebacker, Dies At 26

This is heartbreaking. Jaylon Ferguson, an outside linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens has passed away at 26. 

His team released a statement about Ferguson’s sudden passing. “We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson. He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and an infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon.” 

ESPN reports that Baltimore Police officers responded to a call around 11:25 pm and arrived at the home where they found Ferguson unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by medics. 

There were no signs of foul play or trauma suspected at the time he was found. Ferguson’s cause of death has not been determined yet. 

The young athlete was known as “Sack Daddy” as he was coming out of Louisiana Tech. His alma mater also released a statement about the fallen football star. 

“The LA Tech Family mourns this morning’s tragic news of the sudden death of former Bulldog great, Jaylon Ferguson,” a tweet from the school’s football team said. “We will remember his God-given talents on the field and his infectious personality off of it. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.” 

Ferguson is survived by his three children, who are all under the age of 5. We will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers.
