Kes is kicking off 2022 with a new song, “Jolene.”
The song is inviting listeners to get a sweet taste of soca from the island of Trinidad and Tobago. This single is a “celebration of good vibes and rolling waistlines in the tradition of crossover soca smashes like Rupee’s “Tempted to Touch” and Kes’ own “Hello.”
This song comes at a time when Trinidad’s carnival has been canceled for the second year and it gives listeners and revelers a chance to have that carnival feel again.
