LeVar Burton will be gracing our TV screens once again. He has landed a role in the STARZ hit series Blindspotting.
There are no details on what role Burton will be playing in the second season but he will be joining Tamera Tomakili, Tim Chantarangsu, Katlynn Simone Smith along with Too $hort, E-40, and P-Lo playing themselves.
This series is a continuation of the movie by the same name. The show focuses on the criminal justice system, incarceration, and the various outcomes and aftermaths of it all.
Not only will Burton be in this new season of Blindspotting, but he will also appear in the final season of Star Trek: Picard where he will reprise his role as Geordi La Forge.
Executive producer and showrunner Terry Matalas said about Star Trek, “I remember watching the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation almost 34 years ago with my father like was yesterday.”
He continued, “It was the spark that ignited my love for science fiction. So, it’s most fitting that the story of Jean-Luc Picard ends honoring the beginning, with his dearest and most loyal friends from the U.S.S. Enterprise. It would be an understatement to say that giving these characters a proper send-off is an honor. The entire Star Trek: Picard team and I can’t wait for fans to experience this final, high-stakes, starship-bound adventure in season three!”
