Macy’s To Change Store Hours Due To COVID-19 Surges

Macy’s has been forced to cut their store hours due to the surge in COVID-19 cases.

It was announced that for the month of January, the new store hours will be Monday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., meaning the store will open an hour later and close an hour earlier.

However, the store hours from Friday to Sunday will remain the same. In a statement released, the company says that the health and safety of their staff and customers is their top priority.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and follow CDC and jurisdictional guidelines as well as keep enhanced safety and wellness procedures in place.”

Macy’s isn’t the only retail company that has been dealing with staffing issues. Many other retailers have also experienced issues due to the rising of COVID cases. However, Eric Adams, New York City’s Mayor is urging these companies to bring their employees back to work despite the cases.
