They do say it’s cheaper to keep her.

A Texas man is reportedly wanted by authorities for attempting to divorce his wife without her knowledge.

How is this even possible? A 51-year-old man by the name of Paul Mixon, allegedly forged his wife’s name on legal papers, as well as the name of a notary. “The waiver of service also included the forged signature of a notary public,” Harris County Constable Mark Herman wrote in a Facebook post last week.

Herman also stated, “We rarely see something like this. In this particular case the gentleman decided to go through a divorce but the only problem is, he left his wife out of the process. And that’s a violation of the law here in Texas.”

Things are not looking too good for Mixon as he is Paul is now facing up to 10 years in prison and if convicted, and there is a no-bond warrant out for his arrest.

“We have teams out looking for him right now, I can tell you,” he told the station. “And we have an idea where he’s at. So hopefully, he’ll turn himself in. If not, we’ll catch him. Just a matter of time.”
