Rep. Maxine Waters, a California Democrat and chairwoman of the influential House Financial Services Committee, shares that her sister is unfortunately dying from the coronavirus.
On Thursday, Rep. Maxine shared that she the $494 billion coronavirus stimulus relief bill currently being debated on Capitol Hill to her sister. “I’m going to take a moment to dedicate this legislation to my dear sister who is dying in a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri right now, infected by the coronavirus,” Waters said on the House floor.
Rep. Maxine was wearing a face mask, like many of her colleagues, yet removed it to make the dedication to her sister.
