Meta has made the decision to switch up an entire sector of its programming. The Facebook parent company announced today that it will discontinue all of its Facebook Watch original programming which includes the hit show Red Table Talk.

Meta’s entertainment team has decided to focus on creating virtual-reality experiences. These would live in Meta Horizon Worlds and will also be accessed across Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. Other shows getting the axe include Steve on Watch a revival of Steve Harvey’s daytime show after it was dropped by NBC. Other shows included docuseries-style shows boasting names like Yara Shahidi and Becky G.

Co-host of Red Table Talk took to her Instagram to discuss the new changes. “We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disbanded,” she said to her followers. “We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come.”

The show launched in 2018. It was hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith, daughter Willow Smith and mother Adrienne “Gammy” Banfield-Norris. It went on to win a Daytime Emmy Award.
