Monica is not the one to mess with.
During a recent performance at the Riverfront Music Festival in Detroit, the singer called out an attendee for putting his hands on a woman.
The singer, who fans named “Goonica”, stopped her set and said to the man, “No, don’t you hit her like that.” She continued, “Listen, listen, listen, if y’all don’t get that n-word up out of here. We [not] even supposed to play like that. You ain’t no n-word like that. Is you out [of] your f*****g mind?”
She would then take things a little further by jumping into the crowd to make sure that the unknown man was escorted out of the festival. Watch the clips below.
After the altercation, Monica apologized to her fans for her action and stated that she was triggered by seeing that man hit that woman.
