Morris Chestnut is coming back with a new series.
The Best Man actor is slated to star as the male lead actor opposite of Yaya DaCosta in Our Kind Of People, a new drama series airing on Fox.
This isn’t the first time that Chestnut has starred in Fox TV drama series. He starred in The Resident for two seasons. It has been reported that this new series was written by Karin Gist inspired by Lawrence Otis Graham’s book.
The series will take place in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard, which is set to be a historical stronghold where the powerful and black upscale come into play for more than 50 years.
Chestnut will play the role of Raymond Dupont, a wealthy man who is the top executive at a food corporation who is struggling to recover his business after his business partner almost let the firm go under due to mismanagement.
