Naomi Campbell is a mother of two!
The veteran supermodel recently welcomed her second child. The announcement came Thursday when she shared a photo holding the the infant in her arms.
“My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence. A True Gift from God 🙏🏾, blessed ! Welcome Babyboy. 💙🍼✨ #mumoftwo ❤️💙,” she wrote, adding, “It’s never too late to become a mother 🙏🏾.”
Baby no.2 comes nearly two years after Campbell’s daughter was born. Since her birth in May 2021, Campbell has kept most details of her daughter’s life private, including her name, and has only sparingly shared photos of her publicly.
After having her first child at 50 and second child at 53, Campbell believes older women should still be encouraged to start a family. She shared that she encourages her older friends not to “hesitate” to have children.
In a March 2022 British Vogue cover story, Campbell opened up to the magazine about her longtime desire to have a baby. At the time of the interview, her daughter was nine months.
“I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it’s the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I’m lucky to have her and I know that,” she said.
