Though Kaepernick wasn’t playing in Sunday’s big game, he sure did have many supporters that stood by his side, including some big time NBA Superstars.

NBA Stars LeBron James and Golden State Warriors teammates Kevin Durant and Steph Curry all showed their support wearing Colin’s #IMWITHKAP Jersey.

Kaepernick tweeted photos of the players thanking them for their support, especially in a week where everyone was focused on Sunday’s game. Kaepernick has been one of the storylines heading into Super Bowl 53. Several high-profile entertainers, including Rihanna and Cardi B, turned down opportunities to perform during halftime of the show in support for the former 49ers quarterback. Kaepernick, of course, has been unable to find a job since opting out of his contract in March 2017.

Though many players from all around the sports world are all on board and believe that Kap should come back in the NFL, many executives are overlooking the fact that he can still be a quarterback for any NFL franchise, if given the time and opportunity to do so.

Kaepernick’s absence from the league has been an ongoing topic since he became a free agent in 2017.  While continuing to train and be remain ready in case the opportunity shows up, Kap continues to stay relevant off the field by becoming a civil rights icon for some since he began his protests.
