October London Readies for ‘The Rebirth Of Marvin Tour’ Kicking Off in January

October London is coming to a city near you next month!

The rising vintage soul star is embarking on a 19-city tour starting Jan 25 through Mar 3. Presented by the Black Promoters Collective, The Rebirth Of Marvin Tour will commence in Seattle, before heading to major cities including (but not limited to) Los Angeles, Nashville, Atlanta, DC, Brooklyn, Detroit, New Orleans before concluding in Dallas.

For his opening performers, London tapped J. Brown & R&B girl group, The Shindellas, to get the audience amped up. Detroit native, J.Brown, released The Art Of Making Love this summer, where he croons about rekindling the spirit of true love. The all-girl trio recently released their sophomore album, Shindo, which offers an upbeat tempo that highlights their crisp vocal arrangment.

A superstar in the making, London is known for his heartfelt vocals that recall R&B giants of the past including Sam Cooke & Marvin Gaye. He scored his first Number 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for his single “Back to Your Place.” The velvety single comes from London’s debut album, The Rebirth of Marvin, released in February.

The Rebirth of Marvin, heavily inspired by Marvin Gaye, explores the complexities of relationships. London’s versatility is on full display on each song as he blends nostalgia with contemporary artistry. The 11-track album only features Snoop Doogg & LaToiya Williams on “Mulholland Drive.”

The Indiana native recently graced BET’s Amplified Stage at the Soul Train Awards where he performed “Back to Your Place.”
