Grammy-nominated singer, Omarion, has kept his dating life on the low ever since his public relationship with Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast member, Apryl Jones.
The two dated for several years but called it quits in 2016, shortly after their second child, A’mei was born. They also share a son named Megaa, who is 8 years old.
Since then Omarion has been keeping busy, balancing dad life and professional work duties. In 2019, he briefly reformed with his former group B2K for the Millennium Tour, dropped new music and released a book and a docuseries. During the pandemic, he took part in Swizz Beatz’ Verzuz battle against Mario.
On a recent episode of Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Omarion stopped by to discuss his promote his new book, Unbothered: The Power of Choosing Joy.
On being “unbothered”
Sharpe asked Omarion about how he maintains his calm demeanor. “Essentially it goes back to choice. I am choosing to show up in the world this way. Not everyone understands it,” the singer replied. “When you really think about it, when someone has the intent to pull you out of your space..you really going to give them that power?”
On dating
Sharpe asked the “Touch” singer, “How does O find the ideal woman, given who you are?” Omarion replied, “She finds me.” He added, “It might be shes, plurals.”
Omarion explained that with his current lifestyle, he isn’t confident that being with one woman makes sense. “I might need her to be a business woman on Monday and then we might get freaky on Tuesday,” he expounded. “So that might be two different people?” Sharpe amusingly asked. “It might be, it might be,” Omarion jokingly answered.
