Pharrell Calls For A Federal Investigation For The Shooting Of His Cousin

Pharrell wants a federal investigation to be conducted in the shooting death of his cousin, Donovan Lynch.

A few days ago, Pharrell, who was to be celebrating his birthday, took to Instagram to remember his cousin.

In the caption of the post, he wrote, “Thank you God for my 48th year around the sun. This one is symbolic and a first because I had to speak at my cousin’s funeral, and was choked up with emotions.”

It went on to say, “Too many unanswered City and State questions. Respectfully, I am calling for a Federal investigation. I also humbly ask that you all keep the family in prayer. His name is Donovan Wayne Lynch.”

On March 27th, Lynch was shot and killed by the police during a night of shootings that took place along the city’s oceanfront’s strip.

Reports say that Lynch was armed with a gun after he was shot. It was also reported that the body cam was not activated during the time of the shooting.

The investigation has been turned over to the Virginia State Police.
