R. Kelly Denied Release From Jail Amid COVID-19 Concerns

It looks like R. Kelly’s request to be released from jail due to his fears concerning COVID-19 was recently denied by a Brooklyn judge early Tuesday morning.

According to TMZ, the singer’s lawyers asked that he was placed on house arrest in his Chicago home. In a press release the U.S. District Judge wrote:

“The defendant is currently in custody because of the risks that he will flee or attempt to obstruct, threaten or intimidate prospective witnesses. The defendant has not explained how those risks have changed.”

At the moment, Kelly is currently awaiting trial on sexual misconduct, racketeering and other charges.

Do you think R. Kelly should be released on house arrest?
