R. Kelly’s daughter, Joann Kelly, has broken her silence in regards to the allegations against her father. She took to her Instagram to post a heartfelt message in support of the victims.
Joann who goes by the stage name, Buku Abi, started the message by simply letting readers know she’s speaking from “the heart.” She also apologizes for taking so long to speak out. She lets readers know that her and her father are estranged, and they do not have a relationship- and haven’t had one for many years.
In the message, she refers to her father as a “monster,” “”The same monster you all confronting me about is my father. I am well aware of who and what he is. I grew up in that house.”
Joann Kelly is in the process of healing from the detrimental things she and her siblings have experienced.
