Rickey Smiley addresses Katt Williams after his now-viral interview with Shannon Sharpe.
Smiley said that he had no reason to lie about auditioning for the role of Money Mike in the movie Friday After Next. “I went out to audition for Friday After Next as Money Mike and not the Santa Clause and that’s the honest-to-God truth,” he said. “I guess when Katt Williams did it, they added the pimp twist to the character which was actually a better decision and made it funnier because there was no way in hell I could’ve executed that role and I’m glad that they made that decision and they put me in the Santa clause role.”
He then addressed his role in First Sunday where he played Bernice Jenkins after Williams said that those kinds of roles are the only ones that Smiley can get. Smiley went on to wish him the best and said that he would be there for Katt Williams and his family if he ever needed him.
These responses come after Katt Williams did an interview with Shannon Sharpe and called out Rickey Smiley for saying that Williams stole the role of Money Mike from him.
