Rihanna’s following in Pharrell Williams’ footsteps and telling Donald Trump to stop the music – her music to be exact.
Trump jetted down to Chattanooga, T.N. yesterday (Nov. 4) to campaign on behalf of Republican Marsha Blackburn, who’s running for U.S. Senate in the Volunteer State. He entered last night’s rally at McKenzie Arena to the sounds of Rihanna’s 2007 chart-topping single, “Don’t Stop the Music,” but like Williams’, she doesn’t want any affiliation with No. 45.
The Washington Post’s White House bureau chief, Philip Rucker, covered yesterday’s rally, and tweeted, “It’s been said a million times, but here’s a million and one — Trump’s rallies are unlike anything else in politics. Currently, Rihanna’s ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ is blaring in Chattanooga as aides toss free Trump T-shirts into the crowd, like a ball game. Everyone’s loving it.”

RiRi quickly caught wind of Trump’s use of her music, and didn’t hesitate to respond to Rucker, saying, “Not for much longer…me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies.”

There’s no word on whether or not Rihanna has formally issued a cease and desist order like Pharrell, but it’s only a matter of time as more artists denounce Trump and his use of their music.
