Rest in peace to the Brazilian soccer legend, Pelé.

It has been reported that he passed away in a hospital in Sao Paulo while being surrounded by his loved ones. We recently reported that he had a long battle with cancer before his passing.

In 2021, Pelé was diagnosed with cancer and was in and out of multiple facilities throughout the year. He would end up being hospitalized for the last two months and was able to watch the 2022 World Cup.

He also wrote congratulatory posts on social media to both Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe during their final weekend game. Pelé joined Brazil’s national team at 16 years old and won his first World Cup at 17 in 1958.

He would go on to win two more titles in 1962 and 1970. The soccer legend was 82 years old. We will continue to keep his family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
