Rosario Dawson is expecting to be a glamorous grandma next year.

On Thursday, Page Six reported that the Hollywood star’s daughter, 21-year-old Isabella Dawson, is expecting her first child.

“It’s very exciting,” the Seven Pounds talent told the outlet, adding that the baby is due next year and she plans on going by “Glamma.”

Rosario adopted Isabella in 2014, when she was 11-years old.

Before becoming Isabella’s mom, the Men in Black II actress knew the young girl’s mother. She told Health for its March 2021 issue that she chose to adopt after learning that Isabella was in foster care.

“My family knew her biological mom, and when we found out she was in foster care, we looked for her. It wasn’t even a question; it was clearly meant to be — she’s my kid,” Rosario said.

In the same interview, Rosario explained that she and Isabella attended therapy consistently.

“My daughter has had therapy most of her life through foster care and stuff. I’ve done weekly therapy with her starting at the age of 11,” she said. “I have had it in my life, but it hasn’t been specific to me and my personal needs.”

On a November 2021 Parents magazine’s We Are Family podcast, Rosario, explained the meaning behind Isabella’s name.

“She’s named after my grandmother. So, my grandmother was Isabel. My mom’s Isabel Celeste, I’m Rosario Isabel,” she told the podcast.
