Now that Russell Wilson’s become the highest-paid player in NFL history, he’s thanking a few of the people who help get him there.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback wrote a letter to each of his offensive linemen, thanking them for sacrificing their physical and mental well-being to protect him and keep him healthy to provide for his family.
This does not go un-noticed and it is never forgotten,” wrote Wilson. “Now it is my turn to return the favor, I would not be where I am today without you working to be great day in and day out.”
As the letter goes on, Wilson explains the importance of being prepared for life after football. He says one of the ways he’s worked to set himself and his family up for the future is by investing in companies that “will grow and change the world.” Then he surprised all 13 of his linemen with a $12,000 Amazon investment, each.
He closed his letter saying, “You have invested in my life….this is my investment into yours.”
