The first trailer of the new Shaft reboot movie is here, and it showcases three generations Shaft characters you can’t forget.
The two-minute-plus previews gives a sneak peek into the lives of John Shaft I, John Shaft II, and John Shaft, Jr.
The latest Shaft saga is directed by Tim Story, who had his hands on a few classic movies such as Ride Along, Barbershop, and 2005’s Fanstatic Four, and written by Alex Barrow and Kenya Barris, the man behind Black-ish and Grown-ish.
The flick chronicles the story of “John Shaft Jr., a cyber security expert with a degree from MIT, enlists his father’s help to uncover the truth behind his best friend’s untimely death.“
With an all-star line-up on deck, Shaft will also star Methond Man as Freddie P and Regina Hall, who plays youngest Shaft’s mom – and she’s far from happy about all of the dangerous, action-packed adventure involving her son.
The film hits theaters June 14, and shortly after that on Netflix. Get ready!
