Famed actor and star of the 1970’s hit sitcom ‘Sanford and Son’ Nathaniel Taylor has passed away. Taylor played Rollo Lawson, the best friend and sidekick to Lamont Sanford played by Demond Wilson, who was believed to be a bad influence on Lamont by his father Fred Sanford, played by Redd Foxx.

Taylor passed away on Wednesday after suffering from a heart attack at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Taylor’s son, Kaedi Taylor has this to say about his father, “It was a time and an era just to be on TV as a black man, it was an honor.” He continued, “It was an honor for people to remember him.”

Rest In Peace Nathaniel Taylor.
