According to sources, a 47-year-old woman from suburban Chicago paid R. Kelly’s entire bail, which now enables him to be free as he awaits his trial on sexual abuse charges.
The woman is described as “a friend” of Kelly’s.
One million dollar bond was set by a judge on Monday following his arrest; however the R&B singer struggled to come up with the $100k to cover 10{cf74dfb42c160c86fab84d92af628b92d0859125321fa10dc87be72131d49b21} of the bond. Steve Greenberg claims that Kelly’s finances are all over the place due to all of his legal issues.
One website reports:
“After learning of Kelly’s financial plight, some of his female fans reportedly reached out to the county clerk offering to cover the cost of his bail.”
He set to appear in court on March 22nd. If he is found guilty he could face 40-70 years in prison.
