Simone Biles is no longer looking towards gymnastics for her happiness. She’s putting her focus not only in the sport, but other aspects of her life.

In a conversation on the Today show, she expressed that there are other important aspects of her life that she wants to tend to as well as gymnastics.

“Gymnastics is just something I get to come in and have the privilege of doing,” Biles said. “I don’t feel like it’s the end all be all anymore, as before I kind of felt like that. I get to go home to my husband, to my dogs, to my house and all of the things. So it feels really good.”

Being married to Green Bay Packers safety, Jonathan Owens, Biles is now able to give support to someone else in the sport and see what it’s like on the other side.

“It’s been really fun supporting what he loves to do,” Biles said. “Obviously, he’s in Green Bay right now so my season just ended. I’m super excited to get out there to Green Bay for the holidays to support him.”

Before coming back to gymnastics and setting records, Simone Biles took a two-year hiatus from the sport to focus on her mental health. In her off time, she met Owens on social media and began dating. The two got married earlier this year, first at a courthouse in Texas, then with a grand ceremony in Cabo San Lucas.
