Social Media Reacts To ‘The Maury Show’ Coming To An End

They say all good things must come to an end and for Maury that is exactly what’s happening.

It has been reported that after 30 seasons of The Maury Show will be ending after this season. The fame talk show host revealed that he was ready to walk away from the show six years ago.

“Six years ago when I was ready to retire, my NBCUniversal family asked me to continue the show,” he said. “Even though I told them I was ready for assisted living, out of loyalty to NBCUniversal and my more than 100 staff and crew members, Tracie Wilson and I agreed to one more deal.”

Tracie Wilson, EVP of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios also said in a statement, “Maury and I decided two years ago that this season would be the farewell season for the show, and while his retirement is bittersweet, we are so happy for him to be able to spend more time on the golf course.”

She added, “Maury is a television ion, a pop-culture legend, and we couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of his incredible career.”

New episodes will run through September while repeat episodes will run on the network. However, Maury fans were not happy about the news of the cancellation. See some of the posts below.
