Solange Knowles is updating her resume by adding the title composer to it.
As reported by Essence, it was announced by the New York City Ballet, that the singer will be composing a new score for the company’s award-winning Fall Fashion Gala. The composition is set to be choreographed by Gianna Reisen and performed by multiple musical collaborators.
She went on her Instagram to share her excitement about her latest business venture. In the caption she wrote, “Very excited to announce I’ve composed an original score for the New York City Ballet, choreography by Gianna Reisen, score performed by City Ballet Orchestra and soloist from my ensemble.”
The composition will premiere on September 28th and it will also have costumes by fashion designer Alejandro Gómez Palomo for Palomo Spain. It will also be returning in October and for dates in May 2023.
