Legendary artist Stevie Wonder reveals he will be taking a break from performing, as he will be receiving a kidney transplant. Stevie hit the stage at the British Summer Time concert in London’s sprawling Hyde Park. He then left fans know about his upcoming procedure. His intent was to clear up any rumors regarding his health, and to reassure his fans that he is “okay.”
“I’m going to be doing three shows then taking a break,” he said. “I’m having surgery. I’m going to have a kidney transplant at the end of September this year.” He also let fans know that he has successfully found a donor.
“I came here to give you my love and to thank you for yours,” he said. “You ain’t’ gonna’ hear no rumors about us. I’m good.”
As of now it is unclear as to what his kidney illness is, but we are wishing him the best!
