Tyler Perry called out a publication for using his interview as clickbait.
In a recent interview, the Black Hollywood legend revealed that he’d be interested in doing a third installment of Why Did I Get Marry, but only if Janet Jackson and Jill Scott were involved.
The Jasmine Brand points out Tyler said, “ if Janet [Jackson] and Jill Scott say ‘yes,’ there may be a Why Did I Get Married Again?” Tyler continued, “So, waiting for them to say it. Waiting for the word.”
On Tyler’s IG Story, he called out Atlanta Black Star for posting an article that says the two actresses were “holding up production” for the movie. Their headline reads: “Tyler Perry Calls Out Janet Jackson and Jill Scott for Holding Up the Next Installment of ‘Why Did I Get Married,’ Scott Responds.”
Tyler aired the publication out for being thirsty for clicks. He said, “I guess people write these kinds of headlines for clickbait. It’s sad. I didn’t call out Janet and Jill, and they’re not holding up another Why Did I Get Married.” According to Tyler, he doesn’t even have a script for the third installment, just an idea for a storyline.
Tyler ended his message by stating that no one is stopping the production of anything. He said, “No one is holding up anything, and I’m not calling anyone out. Stop the bs.”
