Tamron Hall is addressing the accusations of her allegedly selling drugs as a teenager.
In a recent report, it claimed that she admitted to “facilitating” the sale of cocaine while in college with her boyfriend. Hall originally made the statement in a segment on her talk show which was later cut out.
In a recent interview with People, the TV host said “During an interview with Prison Rights Advocate Topeka Sam, I shared a story about a bad situation I got myself into when I was 19. I never dealt drugs,” she continued, “I am now nearly 50 years old and was reflecting on a bad judgment call that could have turned worse… I say but for the grace of God, there go I.”
Hall also explained that she was having an open and honest conversation about women, incarceration, and mistakes that were made. “I hope my show can be a forum for sharing stories without shame or judgment- including a conversation we’re having Friday on opioid addiction.”
