Actress Taraji P. Henson debuted a short hair do about two years after revealing she did the big chop in June of 2017. In addition, she shared that she would no longer be putting any more heat on it.
“I’m not straightening my hair again.”
Henson put her short cut away by wearing a plethora of protective hairstyles such as wigs and braids. She finally shared the results of her natural hair growth and we want a step by step tutorial! Her hair has grown significantly since we last saw it.
Luckily, we can soon expect to learn about the products Henson used to achieve her hair goals. She shared the photo below with the caption:
“All natural and I f–kin’ love it I can’t wait to share my hair care system with you,” she wrote. “#TPHBeauty coming VERY SOON!!!”
In an interview with Huffington Post, Taraji expressed how she wanted to no longer straighten and processing her hair.
“[Black women] have shame when it comes to our hair,” she told the Huffington Post soon after cutting her hair off. “What we’ve been told, ‘Your hair is nappy.’ It’s not nappy, it’s curly. That’s a curl, that’s a coil. That’s energy leading up and I was like, we need to convey that message because I see a lot of girls, natural, is it for fashion or do you really understand what that is? It is a crown that God gave you. Our hair defies gravity without any products. Do you know how powerful that is? That’s powerful.”
