Trey Songz has a lot of tattoos and each ink is special to him. During an interview with GQ, he brakes it down tat by tat.

He got his first tattoo when he was about 16 or 17 and it was inspired by Tupac. On his arm he has a cross with a quote and it says “Only God Can Judge Me.” He figured including religion in is ink would please his mom, but she was “still mad.”

His favorite tat is a prayer that he wrote.
“To God I pray may April’s showers rain on her Forrest and grow the strength that started with one Rose.”

In the video, he says that it means that April represents his mother and he prays that she’s strong enough to raise Forrest, who is his brother. The rose symbolizes his grandmother.

Aside from them all meaning a lot to him, he was also involved in the process of creating his body art with the exception of one he picked out from a book. He also talks about a tat he got from a previous relationship and hasn’t covered it up yet so it must “mean something.”
